The Team at Te Whanga Share a Love for the Land and a Commitment to the Animals

Robin Borthwick:  Te Whanga Angus Stud genetisist
Robin is the patriach/guardian of the station and the Angus Stud. 55 years passionate experience from showing at A&P shows to importation of USA bloodlines has seen a wealth of knowledge passed on. Respectful of the environment he farms with, Robin is often planting trees or establishing waterways for Ducks unlimited and the betterment of the station.

Scott Gudsell: Station Manager
Scott aka Daggs,
After finishing his degree at Massey Daggs spent the next 12 years expanding his management skills, knowledge and real love of stockmanship on reputable farms in the Wairarapa.
With a hands on approach to management and desire to produce top quality stock the Te Whanga stud has a fantastic genetic future.
A lover of the outdoors and sports he is often found on the rugby field or tennis court  but with a young family Ana informs us  he doesn’t get to use his trail bike  quite as much as he would like but has maintained his working relationship with the coast guard as he pursues his new hobby of sea kayaking.

Matt Murphy: Stock manager

Josh Hopkirk: Infrastructure manager

Max has come to us from Taratahi agricultural training farm where he has spent the last year and a half completing his level 4 certificate in agriculture. Max has a keen eye for stock and an obvious natural ability given that he hails from the sun and surf of Tauranga. Easily recognisable for now with his ‘Joe Dirt’ style mullet, however who knows what will happen once the boys hit the woolshed!
